One of the most tenacious players in the AFL, Josh's leadership, hardness, and ball-winning ability have been hallmarks throughout his career for both Fremantle and Port Adelaide.

As one of the club's most successful players with two pre-season premierships and the 2004 AFL premiership with Port Adelaide, Josh was awarded Fremantle's vice captaincy for the 2007 season, a role he also held at the Power.

After moving to Fremantle to join brother Matthew for the 2005 season, his role as one of the club's most effective in and under midfielders has seen him amass 65 games in his three seasons with the club.

State of Origin selections in 2006 and 2007 reflected solid performances from the rover and were complimented by being named joint fifth and fourth place in the 2006 and 2007 Doig Medal count respectively.
