Mark took the reigns as the club’s Senior Coach prior to round 16 in 2007 and marked the occasion with a resounding victory over Adelaide at AAMI Stadium. He was appointed to the role for three years at the conclusion of the 2007 season.

Mark joined the club as an Assistant Coach for the 2006 season and enjoyed a successful debut year at Fremantle, taking control of a largely young and inexperienced defence and moulding them into one of the competition’s tightest units.

Prior to joining Fremantle, he spent eight years as an assistant coach at Essendon after playing 206 games for the Bombers between 1984 and 1997, including three premierships as a player in 1984, 1985, and 1993 and one as an assistant coach in 2000. He finished in the top five of the Bombers’ Best and Fairest, the Crichton Medal, on four occasions, winning the award in 1992.

Retiring from AFL football after 215 games at the end of the 2007 season, Chris joined Fremantle as one of Mark Harvey’s assistants for the 2008 season.

Chris’s 14 year career with Brisbane saw him earn dual Premiership honours, playing in the Lions’ premierships of 2001 and 2002. He made his AFL debut in round 1 1994 with the Brisbane Bears against Sydney at the ‘Gabba after being taken at selection 12 at the 1993 National Draft.

With such a thorough understanding and knowledge of the game and displaying outstanding coaching attributes, Chris was highly sought after by a number of clubs following his retirement and was a high priority for the Fremantle Football Club.

Chris was a member of the 1993 Victorian Teal Cup and won the Alan Schwab Medal as Best-on-Ground in the Teal Cup Grand Final. He won the AFL Rising Star Award in 1994, the Merrett/Murray Medal as the Brisbane Lions Best and Fairest player in 1998, and their Most Professional Player Award 1999. He was club vice-captain from 1999 to 2004, a member of the pre-season Grand Final Side in 2001 and played in the International Rules Series that year. He finished in the top ten for Brisbane’s Best and Fairest Award on six occasions. He is a Life Member of the Brisbane Lions.

A former team-mate of Senior Coach Mark Harvey, Dean joined the club as an Assistant Coach at the end of the 2007 season.

A dual premiership player, Dean played 127 games with the Essendon Football Club (1987 to 1989 and 1991 to 2001), achieving premiership success in 1993 and 2000. At the completion of his playing career with the Bombers in 2001 he spent two seasons as an Assistant Coach with the St Kilda Football Club before returning to Essendon as an Assistant Coach in season 2004 where he was in charge of the defensive unit until 2006. In season 2007 he then took charge of the team's forward line.

Todd Curley played 118 AFL games for Collingwood and Footscray/Western Bulldogs between 1994 and 2001.

He was drafted in 1991 to Collingwood and made his debut in 1994. He played three games for the Magpies before nominating for the 1995 draft, which saw him drafted to the Bulldogs.

He forged a highly successful career at the Bulldogs as a half-back, playing 115 games in six seasons including all games in 1998, 1999 and all but one in 2000.

He finished his playing career with West Perth as club captain in 2005. He retired at the end of that season with 147 WAFL games to his name. After spending four years as an assistant coach at the Falcons between 2002 and 2005, Todd was named league coach for the 2006 season, a position he held until the end of the 2008 season before joining Fremantle.

Todd is responsible for Fremantle’s midfield in conjunction with Barry Mitchell.

Barry Mitchell played 221 AFL games with Sydney, Carlton and Collingwood between 1984 and 1996. He went on to become an assistant coach at Carlton for five seasons (1997-2002) before taking the reigns at the Blues’ VFL affiliate club, the Northern Bullants, between 2003 and 2007. He was later being appointed coach of Hawthorn’s VFL team, the Box Hill Hawks in 2008.

He won the Swans’ Bob Skilton Medal as their Best & Fairest player in 1991, as well as the E.J. Whitten Medal and All Australian selection in the same year.

Barry carved a career as a gifted rover who compensated for an apparent lack of pace by becoming one of the highest possession gatherers in the VFL/AFL. His ground skills were exceptional, as was his attack on the ball and disposal, particularly in front of goal. During his 170 games with Sydney he kicked 214 goals.

Barry is responsible for Fremantle’s midfield in conjunction with Todd Curley.

Michael joined Fremantle at the end of 2007 as the club’s skills coach. His appointment added further emphasis to player development and builds on the outstanding work that has been done by Steve Malaxos since his appointment to the key development coaching role two years ago.

Michael played a total of 90 AFL games, playing 81 games with Essendon after being selected number 3 in the 1992 National Draft. He moved to West Coast in 2001 and played a total of 9 games in two years, retiring at the end of the 2002 season. He suffered two knee injuries requiring reconstructions in 1998 and 2001.

Michael was East Fremantle Assistant League Coach in 2005 and East Perth Colts coach in 2006 and 2007, leading the Colts premiership in 2006.
