The Balmain Dockers have made it back to back AFL Sydney Women's Premierships by defeating Sydney University by 38 points at Henson Park, 7.9.51 to 2.1.13.

The blustery conditions made it difficult for the players, however buoyed on by a vocal crowd they put on a spectacle.

In a tight opening quarter, Balmain kicked the only goal of the quarter to lead by six points at the first change.

The second quarter was again very even with Sydney University kicking two goals to Balmain's one as they trailed by just three points at the half-time break.

Scoring was at a premium at the beginning of the third quarter, but once Balmain were able to kick a major, they followed it up with four more quick goals to open up a commanding 25 point lead at the final change.

Sydney were kicking with the aid of the breeze in the last quarter, but were unable to make any inroads into the Dockers lead and, when the final siren rang, a delighted Balmain outfit were duly crowned undefeated premiers.

For the Dockers, Belinda Pride was outstanding finishing with five goals and winning the 'Deborah Rogers Memorial Trophy' as the best player on the ground.

She was ably supported by Karla Spilarewicz and Katharyna Kobzan.

Congratulations to the Balmain Dockers on their 2012 Premiership!
