Fremantle utility Jayden Pitt’s immediate playing career remains on hold due to a recently diagnosed heart irregularity.

However, the 20-year-old has told the club he is committed to pursuing his AFL career.

“After receiving the initial diagnosis from a specialist in Perth, I consulted a Melbourne cardiologist and have subsequently worked through both opinions with my family,” Pitt said.

“At this stage, I’m working closely with the doctors, my family and the club to determine where we go from here.

“With that level of support, I’m remaining upbeat and continue to have a positive outlook as far as playing football goes.”

General manager of football operations Chris Bond said today that the club was committed to supporting Jayden and his family.

“Jayden remains optimistic about the future of his football career and we will continue to support him and his family,” Bond said.
