Pav's message to members
Matthew Pavlich congratulates our members for their record breaking season
The Fremantle Dockers will head into Sunday’s Carlton Mid Derby clash against West Coast on the back of record breaking membership numbers.
As at today’s date the club has 43,638 members, surpassing its all-time record of 43,366 members, which was set in 2008.
Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich said the achievement was testament to the ongoing support of members as the club’s on-field and off-field performances continued to grow and improve.
“Fremantle members are among the most passionate and supportive in the AFL. On behalf of the players, staff and our board, thank you to all of our members for your commitment to the Fremantle Dockers,” Rosich said.
“We have a clear focus on the strategic direction required to be a successful AFL club, and we will continue to work very hard for the club and our members to achieve those aims.”
Captain Matthew Pavlich also paid tribute to the club’s members.
“On behalf of the playing group, a massive thank you to all of our proud and passionate members for their record breaking support of the Fremantle Dockers in 2013,” Pavlich said.
“It’s a great endorsement of the playing group, the club and where we are heading, and we are determined to reward their loyal support with sustained success.
“No matter where we play or whoever our opponent is, the passionate game day support we receive from our members genuinely inspires us to achieve.”
