*rankings are at Freo and players must have played at least four games to qualify.

Highlight – De Boer had 20 disposals, 11 tackles and a goal in round 13 against North Melbourne.

Summary – Tackling is de Boer’s forte, and he was consistently among the best at applying pressure on the opposition. Four games with 10 tackles or more and four with eight or nine tackles highlighted his importance to Freo’s set-up.

Finals

Qualifying Final – 10 disposals, 5 tackles
Preliminary Final – 7 disposals – subbed off
Grand Final – 16 disposals

Summary – De Boer didn't find much of the ball in the finals series, but his pressure was always at a high standard. Was subbed out of the prelim final.

Outlook: De Boer’s tackling and pressure skills are elite, but his focus for 2014 is to continue building on his disposal skills. One thing is for certain, he will give great effort and play whatever role is required of him.
