Fremantle has made one change to its team for Saturday’s game against Brisbane, with Clancee Pearce returning.

The only player to come out of the team that beat Richmond at the MCG last weekend was Tommy Sheridan.

The emergencies are Sheridan, Matt Taberner and Brady Grey.

Pearce was the travelling emergency for the match against the Tigers and did not play WAFL last weekend.

Freo general manager of player management Chris Bond said his prior form was solid.

“His training form has been excellent over the past couple of weeks,” he said.

“He did go back to Peel and, certainly his effort and the way he ran and worked in the game, he started his last game really well.

“We really think that he’s going to add something when he comes into the team.”

Sheridan comes out after a month in the senior team. Bond said he would be one of a number of players pushing hard for selection.

“Overall, we’ve been really pleased with the work our players have been doing down at Peel,” he said.

“There’s been a number of players that have come in and out of the team recently.

Colin Sylvia came in last week, while Sheridan will go back this week.

“We really think it’s a good opportunity for him to get some really good footy under his belt, which he’s been able to do in the past.

“There’s obviously Brady Grey and Hayden Crozier, and certainly our talls in Matt Taberner and others who are working really well and doing everything they can to play.”

Brisbane defeated the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium a fortnight ago – form that was made to look strong after the Dogs toppled top four contender Collingwood last Sunday.

Bond said the Lions were a young, emerging team.

“With that there’s some great enthusiasm, there’s some great run and there’s some really good talent,” he said.

“They’ve shown glimpses this year of what they can do. There were certainly some quarter bursts that we’ve seen that have been really outstanding work, and they were able to string a couple of games together just recently.

“It’s a really dangerous game for us and we’re looking forward to it.”
