Within the space of a week, fremantlefc.com.au smashed its most viewed article record twice.

Firstly, debutant Max Duffy won over the hearts of the Freo fans in round 20 against Geelong for his post-game tribute to a fallen mate.

Duffy, who had lost his friend to cardiac arrest during a cricket game in 2011, donated half of his match payment to HeartKids Western Australia. He was visibly moved when asked about his friend after the game.

The video of the interview was posted on the club’s website and received an incredible response from the fans.

The following week, in a match against Hawthorn at Patersons Stadium, club principal physiotherapist Dr Jeffrey Boyle used his 20 years of experience at Fremantle to stake his claim for ‘The Golden Fist’ award.

The article and accompanying video proved to be the most popular ever posted on fremantlefc.com.au.
