Fremantle senior coach Ross Lyon has declared his support for midfielder Ryan Crowley, who is not available for selection at the moment.

Crowley has been training with the main group, but will not be playing matches as he works through some issues.

Lyon couldn’t clarify what the issues were, but said the club was fully supportive of the 2012 Doig Medallist.

“I’m not in a position to (clarify the issues), except to reiterate the club statement that he’s working through an issue that doesn’t see him available to play at the minute,” Lyon said.

“We’re really supportive but I’m not in a position to comment any further…it’s really a club position.

“He’ll be training, we’re not too fussed, players are pretty resilient.

“We’re really supportive of each other, coaches, players and as a football club.

“You wear the purple, you’re part of our family, so to speak.”
