An in-form North Melbourne will be a fierce challenge for Fremantle at Domain Stadium on Saturday night, according to midfielder Michael Barlow.

The Kangaroos beat Freo at home in Round 6 last year by 13 points in their only encounter in 2014 and are in-form having won their past two matches this season.

Barlow said it was an exciting challenge to take on one of last year’s Preliminary finallists.

“Last time we played them they got a hold us and their best took them to a Prelim last year,” he said.

“That speaks for itself.

“They’re as good as any on their day.”

Barlow said while the Kangaroos had good recent form against Freo that would count for little come Saturday night.

“It’s a huge challenge for us again,” he said.

“We learned a lot of lessons when we played them at Domain Stadium last year and didn’t quite execute a few things.

“We’ll have a look at that but 12 months has passed.”

Fremantle play North Melbourne at Domain Stadium on Saturday 23 May. Bounce down is at 5.40pm
