Fremantle senior coach Ross Lyon believes the club’s second trip to revamped Adelaide Oval will be a tough challenge but a good learning experience.

The side has visited the newly redeveloped stadium just once, losing to Port Adelaide by 18 points in Round 8 last year.

Lyon said Adelaide are a quality side and the interstate game would be a valuable learning tool for Fremantle.

“It’s an opportunity for us to grow,” he said.

Talking Points ahead of Adelaide.

“It’s a significant challenge and they’ll be keen to get back on the winners list.

“We’ll be under great stress and load but if we come through that and work together, we can grow.”

Lyon said Adelaide, who sits sixth with five wins and three losses, had impressed him this year.

“They’re a very talented list,” he said.
