Midfielder Lachie Neale said Fremantle was determined to kick off its second half of the season with a win.
 
Neale was among the best on ground on Thursday night with 34 touches and a last quarter goal that sparked Fremantle’s strong finish.

The side continued its good post-bye form, making it three wins in the round following the break in the past three years.
 
Neale said while the bye was important the side remained focused on the next game.

“Coming back after the bye, we really wanted to get our season going,” he said.
 
“I think mentally we switched back on and got into the swing of things.
 
“We had a couple of runs over the break that kept us in good knick.”
 
Neale said after a slow start the team rallied well.
 
“The first three quarters were a bit sloppy but in the last quarter we found a way,” he said.
