Michael Barlow will stand in as Fremantle’s captain for this weekend’s clash against Port Adelaide, in the absence of skipper Matthew Pavlich.

Twenty-seven-year-old Barlow has played 110 games for the Fremantle Dockers since he made his debut in 2010 and will bring strong leadership to the young Fremantle outfit named for round 23.

Young and restless

Three players, Ethan Hughes, Connor Blakely and Brady Grey, will make their debuts for Fremantle at Adelaide Oval while several senior Freo stars, including Pavlich, rest up leading into the 2015 AFL Finals Series.

Rest up for more work

Fremantle play Port Adelaide on Saturday 5 September. Bounce down is at 3.20pm local time.
