Delisting any player is tough but particularly Ryan Crowley, says Fremantle general manager of player management Brad Lloyd.

Crowley was among six players delisted last week as the club heads into the next two months of trade periods and drafts.

The 188 gamer and Life Member was among the competition’s most elite taggers and was the 2012 Doig Medallist.

“Delistments are all tough decisions,” Lloyd said.

Duffield and Crowley to depart

“All the guys give it there all for their time, whether they are at the club for a short or long time.

“Ryan has been an enormous player for this footy club for a number of years.

“He’s had an outstanding career for Fremantle and the club will always be indebted to him for the service he has given the club.”

The club declared its interest in Giant Cam McCarthy and Gold Coast Sun Harley Bennell on the first day of the NAB AFL Trade Period on Monday.
