Even though it is the off-season, Fremantle players still keep in tip-top shape.

Forward Chris Mayne is in New York for seven weeks but it is not all rest, he will still be running and lifting weights in the Big Apple ahead of the pre-season.

Mayne is with his partner Britt Nicholas for an extended stay in the bustling city, as she continues her modelling work.

“She’s supported me all year, so now I can support her in her work,” he said.

“It is really exciting for her.”

Mayne hopes to catch some live NFL, baseball, basketball and ice hockey while in the USA, plus a Broadway musical.

“I just want us to enjoy living in New York, the Big Apple and chilling out a bit,” he said.

While there will be plenty of rest and relaxation, Mayne still has to maintain his conditioning.

“I just want to come back in ripping nick because I’m itching to get into 2016," he said.
