Ed Langdon was among other Fremantle players who made the most of their three-day break over the weekend, but the young midfielder said it wasn’t all fun and games, and that the break served a purpose.

“Bonding with your teammates is probably the most important part,” Langdon said.

“Just making sure you have a good friendship and relationship with everyone on the team.

“It’s super important.”

When asked about his time over the past weekend, Langdon said it was a relaxed affair with an emphasis being placed on welcoming the interstate recruits.

“Myself and a couple of the boys went down south, to Dunsborough and stayed at Connor Blakely’s house,” he said.

“We did all the sites, because a lot of the interstate boys hadn’t really been down there much.”

While Langdon appreciated the break, he said that after his debut in round 22 last season, there’s still much work to do as he continues his push for senior selection.

“The defensive side of the game is something I’ve really been working on and trying to improve as much as I can,” he said.

“It was an amazing experience, but you just learn so much.

“No one is ever going to play their first game, feel comfortable and feel right at home.
