Aaron Sandilands’ recovery time has been increased following a surgical review.

“Aaron saw the surgeon this past week and she’s asked for his recovery to go for a bit longer to allow the bones to heal a bit better, so at this stage he’ll be another couple of weeks,” according to Fremantle sports science manager Jason Weber.

Alex Pearce suffered a broken leg against Richmond and Weber said the key defender had a successful surgery on Sunday.

“Alex’s surgery has gone really well,” he said.

“He’s at home resting and we look forward to getting him back into training in the capacity he can within the next week or two.”

Weber also said Stephen Hill (adductor) and captain David Mundy (calf) could be available for Saturday’s clash with St Kilda.

“Stephen missed last week with some soreness but he’s trained really well today and we look forward to having him training on Thursday,” he said.

“Dave (Mundy) got through the game, he’s trained today and he’ll be in training on Thursday and available for match committee all going well.”

While Weber said Anthony Morabito would get through to match committee pending Thursday’s training session, Shane Yarran won’t be available due to calf soreness.

“Unfortunately, Shane has had a little bit of persistent soreness in his calf that he injured a few weeks ago, so he’ll be another week or two.”
