Peel Thunder utilised a fast start and solid defence as they defeated East Fremantle by 26 points on Saturday.
Peel kicked 7.8 to East Freo's 3.2 up to half-time and were able to keep the Sharks at arms length the rest of the game.

Peel currently sit fourth on the WAFL ladder and will prepare for an important away game in round 11 against second placed Subiaco. The game should provide a good test for Peel as well as give them a chance to go within one game of the top two.

A number of Freo-listed players have been performing well in the WAFL, and this continued against East Fremantle in round 11.

Tanner Smith
Played fullback on Matthew Watson and did a good job keeping him to just two goals. He also took some nice marks in defence and used the ball well.

Ryan Nyhuis
Played a defensive role on Brett Peake and kept him goalless on the day. He gave a strong contest at ground level and was reliable with his skills throughout the game.

Matthew Uebergang
Played down back and had another very solid game. Looked composed and took marked well across halfback, and his kicking allowed us to rebound well.

Anthony Morabito
Played halfback and had a good run in his first game back from injury. Showed strong run off half back and used the ball well into the forward line.

Darcy Tucker
Played wing and midfield and found plenty of the ball, finishing with 29 touches. He ran the game out well and was an attacking presence for us all game.

Tendai Mzungu
Played midfield and was good with his contested football. Once again provided good effort and run all game.

In the mix: Rd 11 v Essendon

Zac Clarke
Played in the ruck and finished with 39 hit outs. He also moved around the ground well and had 19 touches as well.

Josh Deluca
Played across half-forward and continued to work hard with his pressure and tackling around the ball. Was rewarded for effort by also kicking two goals.

Michael Apeness
Played a forward/ruck role and is improving with every game. Finished the game with two goals and provided us with a good contest in the air.
