Reigning Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe and defender Alex Pearce have been placed on the club’s long-term injury list.

Both players have already been ruled out for the season.

Fyfe had surgery in April to insert a plate in his fibula after fracturing his left leg in Fremantle’s game against Carlton in round five at Domain Stadium, while Pearce had surgery last month after fracturing the tibia in his right leg in the club’s round nine clash with Richmond.

At this stage, the club has opted not to seek approval from the AFL to upgrade players from the rookie list to the senior list as replacements for either Fyfe or Pearce.
