Each day we bring you the wrap of the day’s trades from around the league.

With the 2016 Trade Period drawing to a close, three deals were struck on Wednesday as clubs raced to beat Thursday’s 2pm (AEDST) deadline.

The Tigers were the big movers picking up two players from two separate trades; securing midfielder Don Prestia from the Suns in exchange for pick 6 (1st round), and Tony Nankervis from the Swans in exchange for pick 46 (3rd round).

The Tigers and Suns also swapped second round draft picks as a part of the Prestia deal, with Richmond receiving pick 24 for this year’s NAB AFL Draft while Gold Coast will take Richmond’s second round selection in 2017.

Earlier in the day, Melbourne snared the services of Michael Hibberd alongside pick 59 (4th round) from Essendon, while the Bombers received pick 29 (2nd round) and pick 68 (4th round) in return.
