It’s likely to be the hottest ticket in town when Fremantle make their club debut at Optus Stadium against Collingwood on Saturday.

But Freo fans will have to be quick to secure their tickets to the round two NAB AFL Women’s clash, when an additional 2500 to 3000 tickets are released on Wednesday morning.

It will be a historic day for the club, with both of Freo’s women’s and men’s teams set to be in action on the day.

Because it is a non-reserved ticketed event, Optus Stadium won’t be sold to capacity.

Ahead of the AFLW game at 4.10pm, the men’s team will undertake their first training session at the ground and wrap it up with a signing session around the boundary.

There will be numerous activations taking place at the Southern Oval, located outside Optus Stadium, from 1.30pm, including giveaways, football activities, face painting, bouncy castles and slides.

A number of records are expected to tumble at the event, including the highest attendance at an AFLW game of 24,500 set at the 2017 AFLW season opener between Carlton and Collingwood at IKON Park.

Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich paid tribute to Freo fans for embracing the event.

“We’re thrilled to be approaching what is likely to be an all-time record crowd for women’s football,” Rosich said.

"Given that the ground will not be sold to capacity for this event, we encourage members and fans to take this opportunity to secure the last available tickets.

“To those who do have tickets, it’s exciting to know you will be a part of history attending the first football game our new world-class home.”
