Nathan Wilson has already proven his worth at Fremantle, awarded the maximum 10 votes in the 2018 Shadforth AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award for round two.

The defender collected 23 disposals and took 11 marks in Fremantle’s 16-point win against Essendon on Saturday at Optus Stadium, with his elite kicking helping Freo move the ball effectively out of defence.

Wilson was one of six Fremantle players to earn votes on the night, with senior coaches Ross Lyon and John Worsfold awarding votes on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis.
