Fremantle take on North Melbourne on Sunday at Optus Stadium with one speedy midfielder set for a return while another is pushing for a debut.

Freo could be forced to make at least one change with Joel Hamling in doubt due to a concussion sustained against Sydney. Hamling is listed as a test this week.

Stephen Hill
Hill has missed the past two weeks with a quad injury and his speed and experience will be sure to provide a midfield boost to if he makes his return to play his 197th AFL game. Hill has juggled time between the wing and half back with Fremantle this season, averaging 19.3 disposals and three inside 50s per game.

Stefan Giro
The 19-year-old was arguably Peel’s best on ground against Subiaco last Saturday, collecting 27 disposals, nine clearances and nine tackles.
One of the fastest of the 2017 draft class, Giro is another player who can add pace to Fremantle’s midfield set-up.

Shane Kersten
Kersten will have fond memories of playing North at home, kicking the winner in Freo’s five-point victory at Domain Stadium in round five last season.
Instead of playing forward, Kersten’s best chance of selection is as a defender if Hamling fails his concussion test.
Kersten has made the switch to defence since his omission from Freo’s starting 22 in round one, averaging 16 disposals and 6.5 marks per game from six WAFL appearances.

Ethan Hughes
Hughes has continued to be a reliable defender at Peel, collecting 22 disposals and taking six marks in his most recent appearance against Subiaco. The 23-year-old has played once at AFL level this season with 12 disposals against Richmond in round seven.

Luke Strnadica
Playing as a dual forward / ruck for Peel, Strnadica delivered two goals and 18 hitouts as he continues to impress at WAFL level. The 19-year-old is in his second year as a rookie-listed player.

Taylin Duman
Duman made his AFL debut in round five and played four games prior to his omission against Sydney. The 20-year-old defender has averaged 12.5 disposals at AFL level and collected 15 disposals with five marks against Subiaco.
