Michael Walters has been charged with striking after Sunday’s win against Adelaide at Optus Stadium.

The Fremantle midfielder made contact with Adelaide’s Jake Kelly during the fourth quarter.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from Adelaide, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with medium impact to the body.

In summary, Walters can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

In addition, the Match Review Officer also reviewed a report made during the game for Walters "contact using head" on Tom Doedee.

There was minimal contact made by Walters and the MRO deemed the action did not meet the requirement for a charge to be laid.
