At A Glance

Junior club: Fitzroy (SA)
Recruited from: Sturt (SA)
Draft information: Rookie Draft 2004 - pick 16 (Port Adelaide), Restricted free agent (Fremantle)
AFL debut:
Round 18 2005, Port Adelaide v North Melbourne
AFL clubs: Port Adelaide, Fremantle
Brownlow Votes: 31

Outlook: Now settled in Fremantle after two seasons at the club, he has not missed a game since he arrived. Has been working hard during the pre-season and will hope to enhance his kicking inside 50 in 2015.

What the coach says (Mark Stone): Danyle is in good shape. He’s training well and he’s having plenty of shots on goal and lots on inside 50 entry work. He wants to improve his efficiency in that area. He’s also looking to add to his goal tally this year.

Season by Season

Season by Season

Pearce enjoyed a solid second season at Freo and has now played every game at the club since he arrived. He was among the AFL leaders for kicks inside the attacking 50.

The former Port Adelaide player added pace and skill to Freo’s midfield in 2013. His presence has helped free up Stephen Hill, with the pair strong all season in the midfield.

Had another excellent season, averaging more than 21 possessions a game (second only to Travis Boak) and again finishing fifth in the best and fairest. Relishing the responsibility of a midfield role, he led the club in total kicks (260), handballs received (217) and loose-ball gets (55) and was second in inside 50s (78). A more complete player, he has plenty to offer.
