SUMMARY
Pearce played eight games in 2016 until a fractured tibia in round nine ended what was building into another promising season for the emerging key defender. A partial fracture to his leg in early 2017 has setback his hopes to be ready for the start of the season.

WHAT THE COACH SAYS (Michael Prior)
Alex was going really well on the way back from his broken leg, however re-injured his leg during a training session. We look forward to his return at some point during the year.

Season by Season

Season by Season

Played eight games until a fractured tibia in round 9 ended what was building into another promising season for the emerging key defender.

Pearce was a standout among the club’s young brigade in 2015. Debuted in round 6 against Essendon and won the club’s Beacon Award for best young player. Played both forward and back.

The first-year key defender showed enough to suggest he can win a spot in Freo’s backline in the
future. Played the season in the WAFL but was named as an AFL emergency on two occasions.
