The mature-age recruit had an impressive debut season after being elevated from the rookie list, playing the last 13 games and finishing eighth in the best and fairest. A strong-bodied defender who took on tough assignments in the backline and midfield and handled them with aplomb. Wins plenty of the ball and has good disposal skills, especially by foot. Had his contract extended by two years, taking him through until the end of 2011.
