Sam Switkowski will make his return when Fremantle take on West Coast in Saturday night’s RAC Derby at Optus Stadium.

The small forward last played in round 13 against Hawthorn where he sustained a back injury.

He has been named as Fremantle’s only inclusion for the clash, replacing Matt Taberner, who injured his calf in Fremantle’s win against the Western Bulldogs in round 21.

Switkowski has played 10 games this season, kicking 11 goals and providing elite pressure as a crucial part of Fremantle’s forward setup.

Last week’s medical sub Liam Henry is technically an omission after coming on to replace Taberner in the third quarter.

Henry, Bailey Banfield, Lloyd Meek and Ethan Hughes have been named as the emergencies.

While the sixth placed Fremantle are looking to keep their top four hopes alive with a win, the game will also celebrate the legendary career of David Mundy, who will play his final home and away game at Optus Stadium ahead of the finals.

The game will be Mundy’s 373rd in the AFL as he rises into outright ninth in the all-time games played list in the AFL/VFL, moving ahead of Adam Goodes on 372 career games.

Bouncedown for the clash is at 5.40pm and the game will be broadcast live into WA on 7mate, Fox Footy and can be streamed on Kayo.

Only very limited tickets are available for the game. Members who cannot attend the game are encouraged to put their tickets up for resale so as many people can attend the game as possible.
