This Friday night, the Fremantle Dockers continue a great club tradition by honouring the Anzac’s with the annual Len Hall Tribute Game, which this year features veterans who represented Australia during the Vietnam War.

In its 18th year, the Len Hall Game celebrates the Anzac spirit of courage, sacrifice and mateship and is named in honour of Western Australia’s last Gallipoli veteran Len Hall, (1897 – 1999), a member of the 10th Light Horse Regiment and one of the last men to leave Gallipoli.

Freo will recognise our war veterans, the men and women who served their country fearlessly and courageously, and we remember the sacrifice of those who did not return from war.

The game starts at 6.45pm, but the club asks that everyone attending the game on Friday night be in their seats by 6.15pm for the traditional pre-match Anzac Observance Ceremony.

The ode will be recited by Victoria Cross recipient and the club’s number one ticket holder, Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith.

Vietnam Veteran and Medal of Gallantry recipient John Burridge Jnr along with his sons James Burridge and David Burridge, who both served in Australia and abroad with the Australian Infantry, will perform the National Anthem.

Lance Corporal David Scott will play The Last Post and State president of the RSL (WA Branch) Graham Edwards will toss the coin.
