Stefan Giro has again shown his elite running ability by taking out Fremantle’s 2km time trial at Victor George Kailis Oval on Wednesday morning.

The time trial involved the club’s first to fourth-year players, with the remainder of the playing group due to return on Monday 19 November.

There were few surprised to see the speedy Giro setting the pace, with Andrew Brayshaw and Ethan Hughes not far behind to round out the top three.

In a positive sign, Griffin Logue and Connor Blakely put their recent injuries behind them, finishing fourth and sixth respectively and small forward Sam Switkowski rounded out the top five.

The morning wasn’t over for the group, moving into a training session after completing the time trial.
