Peel Thunder defeated East Fremantle by 12 points at David Grays Arena on Saturday.

Fifteen Fremantle-listed players took part in the clash. Senior development coach Marc Webb runs through how each player fared.

Bailey Banfield
Bailey Banfield played on ball and forward for the game. He controlled around the clearances, hit the scoreboard with two goals and was tough around the contest. He ended up with 16 ground balls and had a strong influence on the game.

Brett Bewley
Played on the wing and forward with 16 kicks and three clearances. He continues to build his fitness and form. He ran hard around the wing and was able to impact both defensively and offensively.

Tom North
Played inside mid for the game. He had 27 possessions and again showed his midfield craft with good bodywork. He ended up with 10 clearances and he continues to build.

Lachie Schultz
Played forward and also went on the ball at times. It was the first time he went into the midfield and it showed another string in his bow. He had six tackles, six clearances and helped later in the game in the centre to get Peel first use of the ball.

Tobe Watson
Played in defence for the game. He got more of the ball with 19 kicks and competed strongly and was able to give some good rebound from defence.

Stefan Giro
Played wing and forward. He worked well around the contest with six clearances from the wing. He had seven ground balls and 22 possessions and he continues with his work-rate up and down the ground.

Jason Carter
Played at half back for the game. He was clean in the contest and his ball use was good. He ended with 18 possessions and his rebound continues to grow with five rebound 50s.

Lloyd Meek
Played full back for the game. It was a good change of role for Lloyd this week, playing on one of East Fremantle’s key forwards. He was really good with his defence, his spoiling, his follow-up and he was able to stop two or three goals with his ability to get a hand in and tackle and pressure.

Sean Darcy
Played in the ruck for the majority of the game and also spent time forward. He had 51 hitouts and gave Peel first use around the contest in a strong battle with East Fremantle’s Luke Strnadica. His follow-up in the contest to tackle and chase is a feature of his game.

Ryan Nyhuis
Played at half back for the whole game. He was really good with his work rate, particularly with this spoiling, his tackle and pressure. He didn’t get as much of the ball as he usually does but he was Peel’s key contributor defensively to help stop East Fremantle’s forwards.

Hayden Ballantyne
Played forward for the game. He showed his trademark tackle and pressure. He ended up with five tackles, he kicked a very important goal in the second half to give Peel momentum. Came off late in the game due to a hamstring injury.

Hugh Dixon
Played forward for the game. He tackled well around the contest. He presented well and needs to continue to work on breaking into space and giving Peel those forward options.

Scott Jones
Played forward and in the ruck. He provided a strong target for the midfielders. He again showed his defensive skills with his tackling pressure and his follow up and he kicked a goal.

Luke Valente
Played forward and mid. His pressure around the contest was good and he had four clearances. He didn’t get as much of the ball as he would like but his pressure and work-rate around the contest continued to improve after his late start to the season.

Sam Sturt
Was concussed early in the game and came off the field.
