Alex Pearce has praised the efforts of the Purple Army to honour club legend David Mundy in his 300th game.

Mundy played his milestone game in Saturday night’s Len Hall Anzac Tribute Game against the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium.

Pearce said that it was inspiring to hear the crowd show their love for the Freo star.

“The crowd were huge today,” Pearce said.

“It was really just great to hear them every time Dave got near the ball, the crowd just erupted and roared.

“I heard every one of Mundy’s possessions today and the crowd were huge again in that final term when we started to get on top.

“It’s always great playing in front of the home crowd and I can’t wait to get back in a fortnight (against Richmond) to do it again.”
