You would think after beating your career-best disposal performance by five - in a game with shortened quarters – midfielder Andrew Brayshaw would want to bask in some of the spotlight.

But after racking up 33 disposals in Fremantle’s 16-point win against Hawthorn on Monday night, the 20-year-old only had one thing on his mind, thanking the fans.

“It’s awesome to play in front of such a great crowd,” Brayshaw said to the fans in a post-game on-filed interview.

“We couldn’t be happier. We have a few more home games before we might be going back into a hub but we love it here and playing in front of you guys, you make a big difference, so thank you.

“(On a) Monday night, everyone’s turned up. We love you guys, you make the difference.

“Keep coming out and supporting like that and we’ll keep trying to win for you.”

Brayshaw singled out teammate for praise post-game in defender Luke Ryan, who was excellent once again with 21 disposals, seven marks and 558 metres gained.

“Luke Ryan down back, he halves every contest or wins it, so we love it from the midfield. He’s putting a super year together so good on ya, Lukey,” Brayshaw said.
