As well as identifying and developing young talent, the NGA focuses strongly on participation for boys and girls in the community, encouraging playing football and living a healthy, active lifestyle.

Just like Fremantle’s NGA, Tyrepower has presence all throughout the state and shares the same goal of having a positive impact in their local communities.

“As Australia’s biggest independent tyre provider it is vitally important for us to support our young regional Aboriginal and multi-cultural football players,” said Simon Ingram, the Deputy Chairman of Tyrepower WA.

“At the heart of the NGA is the ability to nurture new talent and provide as many opportunities as possible for young boys and girls to live their dream of playing football.

“Football in Australia is incredibly culturally diverse but the opportunity to access skills and training programs is particularly difficult in parts of our state. With over 22 stores in regional WA, we understand the difficulties faced with living remotely, which is why we are proud to partner with the Next Generation Academy.

“The NGA provides an opportunity for kids with incredible raw talent to grow their skills under the stewardship of the academy’s diverse and talented development coaches.

“Tyrepower is extremely proud to be the inaugural sponsor of Fremantle’s Next Generation Academy in 2021.  For us it is a long term commitment to nurture and discover some incredible talent which will provide a long term foundation of players for the AFL.”

Head of community engagement Simon Eastaugh said the club was thrilled to form a partnership with Tyrepower.

“With the goals that the Fremantle Dockers NGA has, to impact our metro and regional zones, the support of being powered by Tyrepower allows our NGA programs to reach more boys and girls, introducing them to the opportunities that football can provide,” Eastaugh said.

“Tyrepower is the first official partner that the Fremantle Dockers NGA has had since its establishment in 2017 and we are hoping that with a partnership like this, we can create amazing outcomes in our community.”
