Thanks to Tyrepower, Fremantle’s NGA Coach Roger Hayden headed east for the 1.5 hour drive to meet up with students and teachers from Brookton District High School.

Roger met up at Boyagin Rock in the Boyagin Nature Reserve, 20km south west of his home town of Brookton, which is located within Fremantle's NGA alignment to South Fremantle and the Upper Great Southern.

As part the visit, Roger participated in activities with the students that included a 30 min walking trail through the bush and up Boyagin Rock which was beautiful on a perfect winter's day.

Back at the camp site Roger talked about connection to country, family, life growing up in Brookton and his journey to where he finds himself today.

At the end of the visit, Roger had a discussion with the students about pursuing their dreams, in whatever area they are passionate about and have the attitude, commitment and resilience to achieve their goals.

It was great for Roger to head back home.
