Eight Fremantle-listed players were in action in Peel Thunder’s 26-point win against East Fremantle at East Fremantle Oval on Saturday.

Stephen Hill ran out for the reserves as he made his return from a hamstring injury.

Development coach Tendai Mzungu runs through how each player fared.

Tobe Watson
Tobe played at half back where he had 22 disposals and 10 marks. He had some excellent contests where he supported his teammates and used the ball well. He played a pivotal role in the victory.

Taylin Duman
Taylin played as an undersized defender on Harry Taylor and had 21 disposals and 11 marks. He gave Peel a good contest and it was an even battle in the end. Taylin’s ability to support his teammates and use the ball off half back was good.

Luke Valente
Luke played through the midfield. He had a big impact on the game with three goals. Continues to improve his midfield craft but he was a strong contributor.

Joel Western
Joel played high half forward. He found himself in a lot of space and had some good opportunities going inside 50. He probably didn’t capitalise on those opportunities as much as he could have but he took a nice contested mark and kicked a goal while playing his role.

Stefan Giro
Stefan played as a high half forward. He had a couple shots on goal and worked hard into space. Laid three forward half tackles, which is an important aspect his role to apply forward half pressure.

Hayden Young
Hayden came back for his first WAFL game after some time out due to injury. He played as a high half back, was strong in the contest, gave Peel some good ball use out of half back and worked well with the other defenders. It was a promising return to football for Hayden.

Ethan Hughes
Similar to Hayden, Ethan played at half back while coming back from injury. It was great to see him run the game out well. His defensive running patterns and ability to support his teammates stood out on the day and he kicked the ball well off half back.

Reece Conca
Reece played as a high half back on East Fremantle’s smaller forwards. He changed angles with the ball and used it well out of half back. He was really connected with his teammates down in the back half and he’s building some good form.

Stephen Hill
Stephen played about three quarters of a game in the reserves. It was great to see Hilly back and playing footy and it looked like he was really enjoying himself. He probably didn’t get the numbers he would have liked but he had some good contests and his run and spread from the contest will give him good confidence in his body as he continues to build.
