2018 SUMMARY
Started the season brilliantly, including a four-goal haul against Essendon, before a foot injury against the Western Bulldogs saw the key forward miss three months. Taberner returned to kick four goals in the final four games of the season with his strong marking presence proving vital to Freo’s forward structure. Taberner averaged 2.2 contested marks per game, the highest average at the club.

Season by Season

Season by Season

The key forward moved in and out of the Fremantle side in 2017. Taberner averaged 2.8 contested marks per game from his eight appearances – the highest average in the AFL. Taberner’s season was highlighted by his four goals against Essendon in round 7 while he also starred for the Thunder in their premiership season.

Emerged as a potential key forward with another strong season, highlighted by a five-goal haul in round 12 against Brisbane.

Taberner showed that he has the makings
of a key forward for Freo. Although he only played half the season in 2015,
he developed nicely and will continue to do so in the coming season.

Emerged as a bright key forward prospect this season. The highlight
was a brilliant performance against Brisbane at the Gabba in round
22 that netted him a NAB Rising Star nomination.

The key forward enjoyed a solid first season at AFL level and was rewarded with a promotion onto the club’s senior list for 2014.
