Fremantle will again miss one of their key midfielders in Kiara Bowers for the upcoming round six clash against North Melbourne at Fremantle Oval on Sunday.

Bowers missed the final quarter of the round four clash with Essendon due to knee soreness and was ruled out of the following game against Richmond.

AFLW Senior Physiotherapist Brett Fletcher provided an update on Bowers.

“We’re currently consulting with some specialists to get an idea of what her return to play looks like,” Fletcher said.

“She won’t be available for this weekend’s game.”

Fremantle are hopeful veteran Ebony Antonio will return this weekend after being a last-minute withdrawal in the win over the Tigers – also due to knee soreness.

“Ebony pulled up with soreness (knee) last week – unfortunately the five-day turnaround wasn’t enough for her to get up and play,” Fletcher said.

“She will be a test for this week – we’re hopeful she’ll get through training and be available.”

Making a successful return against Richmond, utility Gabby O’Sullivan has recovered well after missing rounds three and four due to dislocating her shoulder in round two.
