Fremantle have confirmed three changes to their AFLW playing list for the 2026 NAB AFLW Season on Friday.

Amy Mulholland and Jo Cregg have each announced their retirements from AFLW, while Gabby Biedenweg-Webster has been advised she would not be offered a contract for next year.

Mulholland played 33 games across four seasons at Fremantle and was drafted at pick 83 in the 2022 AFLW Draft ahead of Season 7.

The small forward made a solid first impression to set her up for a Round 1 debut in Season 7.

Mulholland registered multiple career best efforts across 2024 and 2025, including 13 disposals in Round 2 against Brisbane, and has booted three goals in purple.

Fremantle Head of AFLW Claire Heffernan thanked Mulholland for her commitment and dedication during her time at Fremantle.

“Amy has been a fantastic teammate and a much-loved presence within the group,” Heffernan said.

“She’s always carried herself with professionalism and positivity, and we thank her for the care and enthusiasm she’s brought to the Club.”

Cregg hangs up the boots having played 16 games across her three seasons in purple.

The defender was selected at pick 21 in the 2023 AFLW Supplementary Draft and debuted in Round 1 of the 2023 NAB AFLW Season.

Cregg’s career-best performance was against Essendon in Round 4 in 2023, amassing 15 disposals and four marks.

Jo Cregg

“Jo has been a valued addition to our group since joining the Club,” Heffernan said.

“She’s a natural competitor who’s given her all every time she’s pulled on the jumper.

“Both Amy and Jo were members of our Irish recruits, and both have been wonderful role models for the younger players in our squad.”

Biedenweg-Webster signed on as a replacement player ahead of the 2024 NAB AFLW Season and went on to solidify her spot in Fremantle’s starting line-up.

Putting her versatility on display, Biedenweg-Webster made appearances in both the forward and backlines and booted eight goals across her two seasons at Fremantle.

The forward/defender finishes up at Fremantle with 25 AFLW games (22 at Fremantle and three at Gold Coast Suns).

Gabby Biedenweg-Webster

“Gabba is someone who embodies the Fremantle spirit - selfless, hard-working and team-first,” Heffernan said.

“She embraced this opportunity with both hands and has continued to grow and develop during her time with us.

“She has been a player her teammates can always rely on to give everything she has.”

Heffernan expressed her gratitude to all three players for their efforts in purple.

“We’re incredibly thankful to Jo, Amy and Gabba for the time and dedication they’ve given to Fremantle,” Heffernan said.

“Each of them has contributed in their own unique way to our team and culture, and they’ll always be part of the Freo family.

“We wish them all the very best for what comes next.”
