Ahead of the Fremantle Dockers game against Adelaide on Saturday, a few names have staked a claim for senior selection after strong performances at the WAFL level.

Before you pick your Best 22, here are some of the players who could receive the call for senior selection:

Connor Blakely
The second year midfielder missed two games with a broken toe but returned with a 29-disposal effort  for Peel Thunder on Saturday. Blakely has averaged 25 touches in three games so far for Peel in 2016 after solid performances in Freo’s NAB Challenge series.

Matt de Boer
De Boer put together a strong performance in Peel Thunder’s 21-point win against Claremont on Saturday. The midfielder had 36 disposals, with a healthy kick-to-handball ratio of 18 to 18. He also displayed a tenacity and attacking presence, finishing the game with nine tackles and seven inside 50s.

Fixing ball use Freo's focus

Jack Hannath
The 200cm, 101kg ruck man was part of the extended squad that travelled to face North Melbourne in round four and could see senior selection after collecting 12 disposals, five inside 50s and 22 hit outs against Claremont.

Ethan Hughes
The athletic utility returned from a hamstring injury with a solid performance, gathering 23 disposals in the WAFL on Saturday Hughes has averaged 21 disposals and six marks so far in 2016, and his athleticism and ability to intercept mark across halfback could be a welcome addition in the absence of Michael Johnson.

Johnson to undergo surgery 

Ed Langdon
Langdon has played three senior games so far in 2016 for Freo and impressed for Peel Thunder on Saturday. The high pressuring youngster gathered 29 possessions and found plenty of free space around the ground, finishing with 11 marks while playing in the midfield.

Tanner Smith
The key position player had 22 disposals and was a presence up forward as he finished with 12 marks and a goal to his name. Smith possesses the physical height and athleticism (196cm, 93kg) to play both ends of the ground and has been building solid form in the WAFL.
