Fremantle ruckman Jon Griffin says he expects the Tigers to be fired up after their thrilling 1-point win against Sydney last Saturday.

“They’re a professional outfit and they’re capable of playing some outstanding football,” Griffin told reporters on Wednesday.

“I’ll be definitely having a close look at them this afternoon.”

“They played really well against Sydney and [Shaun] Hampson has been in good form.”

Lyon believes 'the wheels will turn'

Freo were without Matthew Pavlich in last week’s match against the Hawks in Launceston, but the veteran makes his return this weekend to face the Tigers.

“Matthew’s a great player and a great leader,” said Griffin.

“He’s obviously great to have in the team and I’m looking forward to him stepping back out this weekend.”

Clancee Pearce is set to play his 100th game if he is named in the side for Saturday’s match.

“It’d be great if Clancee gets his opportunity to play his 100th.

“He’s a ripper lad.

“Hopefully, we can get a result for Clancee this weekend.”
