Partner club to the Fremantle Dockers, the Fremantle City Dockers Junior Football Club, celebrated the opening of their magnificent new facilities at Dick Lawrence Oval in Beaconsfield.

Facilitated by the City of Fremantle and designed and built for junior sport, the new facility includes upgraded canteen, new change rooms, additional storerooms and office space, stand alone umpire room and a community room which showcases Freo City Dockers memorabilia dating back to the 1950’s.

The extensive undercover provides a warm welcome from wintry conditions.

Freo Dockers community goals manager David Crute presented to President Leon Flanagan a signed 2012 Fremantle Dockers Poster to be featured on the walls of the Community Room.

Flanagan, in turn, presented to Crute a poster of the 2011 Freo City Dockers team list.

Freo Dockers Jack Anthony and Michael Barlow provided plenty of signatures and photo opportunities on the day.

The night was celebrated with Fremantle councillors and officers, Shelford builders, South Fremantle District officials, local memberof parliament Peter Tinley, Freo MOB members, Freo City Dockers sponsors, Auskickers and a very large crowd of overjoyed Freo City Dockers parents, guardians and supporters.

Congratulations to the Freo City Dockers Junior Football Club.
