Melbournefc.com.au has captured the exact moment Jack Hannath found out he would be joining the Fremantle Dockers.

The South Australian ruckman was training with the Demons in the Darwin heat as the Pre-season and Rookie drafts were taking place on Tuesday.

Melbourne coach Mark Neeld halts the session and calls all the players in to a huddle.

“I’ve got good and bad news for you,” Neeld tells Hannath.

“You’re on an AFL list, but for us (Melbourne), unfortunately, that’s Fremantle.”

Hannath is then applauded and embraced by all the Demons’ players present.

The 201cm 21-year-old appeared stunned, but said he was rapt to be on a senior AFL list.

“Neeldy (Mark Neeld) said there’s a lot of good people at Fremantle, so I’m sure I’ll make some good mates there as well,” Hannath said.

“It’ll probably sink in a bit more once I get over there.”
