The 25-year-old will spend the next few weeks recovering before undertaking a rehabilitation program ahead of pre-season training.
General manager of football operations Chris Bond said that the club’s medical advice indicated that Ibbotson would be available to start pre-season training on schedule.
“The procedure went well and Garrick will be available for day one of pre-season training,” Bond said.
