Fremantle has lost Saturday's clash against Sydney at the SCG by 17 points.

The Swans clawed their way to the front in the second quarter and maintained their intensity to the final siren, winning by 13.14 (92) to 11.9 (75).

Fremantle mounted a late charge in the third term and trailed by 22 points going into the final quarter. The margin was trimmed to 15 points with six minutes to go
But the Swans held their nerve in an impressive performance.

Lance Franklin slotted three in the third term and another in the fourth to be a valuable contributor.

Ben McGynn was brilliant for the Swans with 12 tackles and two goals and Josh Kennedy had 38 touches and also hit the scoreboard.
