Fremantle livewire Hayden Ballantyne has done it to Geelong again.

The forward has been nominated for the 2014 Goal of the Year for his brilliant six-pointer against the Cats at Patersons Stadium on Saturday night.

Ballantyne has already won a Goal of the Year for a gut-busting effort against Geelong in round 2, 2011.

After Freo had won the ball on the half-back line, Zac Clarke kicked it forward into space, where ‘Ballas’ gathered.

He quickly realised the only man standing between him and an open forward 50 was tall Cat defender Jared Rivers, who doesn’t quite possess the same speed.

Ballantyne proceeded to turn Rivers inside-out and then shoot a low kick towards the big sticks.

The ball bounced through, narrowly missing the left goalpost at the Subiaco end of the ground.

The only thing matching the brilliance of the goal itself or commentator Brian ‘BT’ Taylor’s excitement was Ballantyne’s exuberant celebration after he’d kicked it.

To claim his second Goal of the Year, ‘Ballas’ needs your help to win this week’s vote.

Goal of the Year nominations are no stranger to Ballantyne – he was nominated for this ripper against GWS in 2013 and again in round 1 this season against Collingwood
