Fremantle has made four changes for Thursday night’s clash with Carlton at Patersons Stadium.

As expected, Aaron Sandilands, Stephen Hill and Hayden Ballantyne come back, while defender Garrick Ibbotson also returns.

Going out of the team that lost by 58 points to St Kilda was Jon Griffin, Colin Sylvia, Anthony Morabito and Matt Taberner.

The emergencies for the match will be Tommy Sheridan, Hayden Crozier and Taberner.

Freo fit and ready

Freo senior coach Ross Lyon had flagged as many as six changes following the game against the Saints before the bye.

General manager of football operations Chris Bond said Sandilands and Hill would give the midfield a big boost

“Aaron’s missed that one week and ‘Hilly’s’ missed a few, but both have been able to get through training really well,” he said.

“Both have had really terrific years for us, so they play an important part, obviously, and we’re looking forward to both of them coming back in the team.”

Bond said Ballantyne, who sat out one game through suspension, was another key inclusion.

“I think Ross is on the record saying how important he is to us,” he said.

“We understand why he went out of the team, but we also give great credit to the way he plays and goes about it.

“We’re looking forward to him getting back in the forward line and getting back to doing what we do best.”

Talking Points

Ibbotson returns after missing the past two games through injury.

“His form up in Darwin we were really pleased with, and then he’s really trained the house down this week,” Bond said.

“We’ve got full confidence he’s going to be 100 per cent ready to go.

“He also gives us that bit of versatility because he’s been playing back, but we know he can play in other positions, as well.”

Freo will be wearing its white away strip in Thursday night’s game and all fans are asked to ‘Wear White on the Night’, too. There are plenty of prizes up for grabs thanks to proud co-major sponsor Programmed.
