Nat Fyfe’s appeal has been dismissed, meaning the star midfielder’s two-game ban will stand.

Fyfe fronted the AFL Appeals Board via video link to Melbourne on Thursday evening.

His representation Stuart Morris QC argued that the Tribunal made an error of law on Tuesday.

Morris said the jury was directed to make the finding Fyfe was guilty, not left to decide that itself.

He added the decision was inconsistent on the evidence and wrong in law.

“For the judge to mandate an outcome it had to be the only possible outcome,” Morris said.

But after seven minutes of deliberation the Appeals Board found there had been no error of law and dismissed Fyfe’s case.

He will miss matches against Brisbane and Port Adelaide.
