The accolades keep coming in for Nat Fyfe – he’s picked up Melbourne radio station Triple M’s ‘Best on Ground’ award for 2014.

Fyfe has already been crowned an All Australian and was named the AFL Players’ Association’s Most Valuable Player in 2014.

He claimed the magnificent prize for winning the Best on Ground - a $10,000 Bulgari watch.

Fyfe thanked sponsors Bulgari and Bonaire, and the Triple M hosts who adjudicated the award, Garry Lyon, Wayne Carey, Danny Frawley, Mark Ricciuto, Warren Tredrea, Jude Bolton and Campbell Brown.

“It’s fantastic to be recognised by such a prestigious panel of experts,” he said.

“At Fremantle, we’ve had a reasonable year, we achieved what we tried to achieve, in top four.

“But ultimately losing both finals in straight sets leaves a pretty bitter taste and something that’s going to spur all the players in the pre-season.”

Fyfe also weighed in on Saturday’s Toyota AFL Grand Final between Sydney and Hawthorn, but he wasn’t giving too much away.

“Both teams are in great condition, they’ve got good players who are playing their best footy at the moment,” he said.

“Either way, it’s going to be a fantastic game.

“I can’t give you a tip, but I wish all players all the best.”
