Fremantle members and supporters can look forward to a raft of blockbuster home games under lights at Patersons Stadium in the 2015 Toyota AFL Premiership season with clashes against league heavyweights, including Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond, Essendon and Sydney.
After kicking off its home and away season in round one with a Semi-Final rematch against Port Adelaide at Patersons Stadium on Easter Sunday, Freo returns to the same venue in round four to take on Sydney under lights for the 20th annual Len Hall Tribute Game on Anzac Day, Saturday 25 April.
One of the most eagerly anticipated night games at Patersons Stadium will be against Collingwood on Thursday 25 June, which follows Fremantle’s round 12 bye and round 11 away game against Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium on Saturday 13 June.
The club’s only Friday night game in 2015 is in round 10 against Richmond at Patersons Stadium on 5 June. The Friday night clash with the Tigers is preceded by Saturday night games at Patersons in round six against Essendon on 9 May and a round eight clash with North Melbourne on 23 May.
Before Fremantle rounds out its run of blockbuster home games under lights at Patersons Stadium against Carlton in round 16 on Saturday 18 July, it travels to Launceston to take on 2014 Premiers Hawthorn in round 15 on Sunday 12 July.
In the lead-up to Fremantle’s round 20 home derby against West Coast at Patersons Stadium on Sunday 16 August, the club plays one of its two games for the season at the MCG against Richmond on Saturday 25 July. The other visit to the MCG is in round five against Melbourne on Sunday 3 May.
Freo’s six games in Victoria next season include a round two away game against Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Sunday 12 April and three games at Etihad Stadium, including Western Bulldogs in round seven, St Kilda in round 19 and North Melbourne in round 21.
After opening its 2015 campaign against Port Adelaide in round one, Fremantle will also bookend its home and away season against the Power at Adelaide Oval in the round 23 “floating fixture”.

Some key points of interest from Fremantle’s 2015 fixture include:
- Play only three top eight teams from 2014 twice (Port Adelaide, Richmond and North Melbourne)
- Also play West Coast and Melbourne twice
- Five home games against top eight teams from 2014 (Port, North Melbourne, Sydney, Richmond and Essendon)
- Five away games against top eight teams from 2014 (Geelong, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Port and Richmond)
- Play two games at Adelaide Oval
- No games in NSW, ACT or Northern Territory
- Play five games in a row on Sundays between rounds 18-22
Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich said on balance the club was pleased with its 2015 fixture, particularly the raft of blockbuster home games under lights at Patersons Stadium which would be well received by members and supporters.
“The AFL always has a difficult job striking the right balance in an 18-team competition played over 23 rounds but our members and supporters have a lot to look forward to with regard to blockbuster home games at Patersons Stadium in 2015,” Rosich said.
“History shows that when we have home games against sides such as Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond, Essendon and Sydney everyone wants to be a part of the action at Patersons Stadium on game day.
“Even at this early stage we anticipate that those games at Patersons Stadium and our home derby against West Coast in round 20 plus our season opener against Port Adelaide and North Melbourne in round eight to more than likely be sold out well in advance of game day.”
Reserved seat members of the club are guaranteed access to all of Fremantle’s 11 home games at Patersons Stadium, including the blockbuster fixtures.
